Some selling points I would like to make

1) We have a website.

2) Active forum.

3) Team speak.

4) An Alliance with two other guilds for more knowledge base and camaraderie.

5) We have a No Drama Charter, which means we are together to have fun. We are not interested in being the King of all guilds on a ladder system. We will be involved in GvG but no one will force you to participate in the events.

6) As of now most of the guild are planning on starting their characters from level one which means lots of PvE.

I joined this BWE (March) and had a blast.
OH seems to be the guild for me...
(I've joined and left several guilds since the Oct. BWE)

No pressure to do anything, but enough members to get together and do something.
Everyone was helpful and no one was critiical of newbies not knowing something.
I was able to easily get members to do everything from pre-Searing to Lion's Arc missions, to PvP and GvG.
And there was even some "Lite Role Playing" (not required)
It's a great guild for the casual PvE player as well as those interested in PvP or GvG.
A great guild to make some new friends and have some fun.

But I would say if your too serious about the GvG and being #1 in the Ladder (and blaming others or complaining about a lost GvG battle) or Power Leveling, etc. etc. you look some where else.

Everyone knows about Thor and his hammer 'Mjollnir'

.... and now for the rest of the story
It was not until recently that this information was declassified by the Guardians of Valhalla....remember you heard it here first!

Thor found out his daddy had a really cool hammer, the most powerful around and wouldn't stop pestering him for it.
Odin was the all-seeing god and he knew that his son had a bad habit of throwing his hammer around and losing it. So, he made a toy hammer for his son out of some scraps he had lying around after making his chariot and gave it a cool name 'Mjollnir' because there was no way he gonna give his best hammer away. (edit: yes, i know this not the popular version of the story from the poetic edda)
The exact specifications of Odin's Hammer are still not available. Odin refused to comment but we did manage to catch Heimdall drinking late night.
Apparently, he never sleeps, he had this to say,

"Yup, I saw it once, Odin wanted to show me this new weapon Weiland had made and that Odin had runed himself in some secret fashion. He and i went down among the skraelings far from Midgard and giants. When he struck the ground with it, the noise was deafening the earth itself shook for several minutes, dust and sand filled the air, we could see nothing till it cleared. the hammer was mighty and struck true leaving the largest crack at the spot where it hit, it was several canyons wide, so beautiful, so deadly." He shook his head in awe and gulped down so more mead, "I never saw it again after that and you are the first mortal i have ever heard ask of it"

I have been in this guild for 3 BWE and it is alot of fun to play with this group, definatly no pressure from anyone and there is no complainers/whiners that chew about how you play to be found in this guild.

also very nice to have an alliance going on where if you need any extras it is ok to ask one of the other guilds. (whether it be players or items).

.....Meanwhile back at the guild hall......

DARUMA strides into the guild hall, as always, at his heels Meeko sniffs the air, growls and bristles at all the unfamiliar scents. "Easy girl", Daruma says as he pats Meeko on the head and gently scratches behind her ears. "Tis the scents of our new friends... our new family... you smell... NOT prey" He chuckles.
Not quite yet comfortable, Meeko blends into the shadows as they walk down the long hall to the common room where they hear the voices of their new kin. "Hail and well met everyone !!" Daruma booms as he enters the common room... the smell of a feast quickly catching his attention

"Tis a pleasure to finally meet you all. I hope you'll find me and Meeko worthy of joining this family permanently." Daruma turns to introduce Meeko to the rest of Odin's Hammer... only to see her up on a table laden with sumptuous foods tearing at some roasted rabbit.

"MEEKO !!" <he bellows as he approaches Meeko, intent on shoo'ing her off the table and wresting the meat from her maw>

<Meeko bounds off the table and moves to a dark corner of the room growling and daring Daruma to try and take the tasty morsel from her>

<Thinking better of it... and realizing that he'll shoot his bow much better with two hands rather than the one he'd surely pull back were he to attempt to take food from Meeko... Daruma shyly turns to the rest of Odin's Hammer to apologize... while muttering under his breath; "Nice first impression Meeko.">

"I'm sorry about that folks... we... uh... sort of skipped dinner tonight in an effort to make good time getting here... apparantly Meeko wasn't as enamored of that decision as I was..."

Daruma couldn't fail to notice the smirks and chuckles coming from his new comrades. He hears comments such as: "Remind me not to have any jerky in my packs when Meeko is around and hungry."

And thus, Daruma and Meeko make their first introductions to the guild of Odin's Hammer.

Here at Odin’s Hammer we pride our self on our casual friendly atmosphere and the great, mature players who make up the guild. But just who are the people who make up the guild?

Well I thought I could interview them for you; to get an idea of who they are.

The first interviewee was the Guild Leader himself:

Q: Could you please state your name?
A: “Augment O”

Q: Your Gender?
A: (gives me funny look) ”Male…”

Q: Do you have an occupation (either real life, in-game, or in the Guild?)
A: (sits up straight) “Guild Leader”

Q: What would you say is your favorite food?
A: (rubs stomach) “Pizza”

Q: And your favorite color?
A: (Looks at shirt) “Blue”

Q: What would you say is the thing you hate the most?
A: (Grins) “Hate”

Q: What you say is your greatest accomplishment?
A: (here he smiled quite big) “Founding Odin’s Hammer”

Q: Could you name a favorite moment in PvE?
A: (crossed his arms) “When it’s over”

Q: Your favorite PvP moment?
A: (uncrosses arms, gives look of confidence) “When I win”

Q: What would you say was your most stunning defeat?
A: (looks down at ground, frowns a bit) “All of them”

Q: Do you have any advice for new players?
A: (smiles that smile he smiles) “Join my Guild”

Q: What reason could you give for why players should join Odin’s Hammer instead of another?
A: (looks angry) “WHAT! They have a choice?!”

Daruma enters the guild hall continued....

ORBIT sharpening her blade with a wet stone while drinking some Ascalon ale from a well used goblet, hears the creeking of floor boards from down the hall, looks to her guild mates in alarm and makes ready, A Ranger enters the room with marking of a black hammer worn on a red cape.
"You must be Daruma and this Cat on our dinning table must be Meeko I take it?"

MEEKO having finished her meal, stalks out to wander amongst the members of Odin's Hammer. "Meeko, the least you could do is apologize to our new brethren" <scolds Daruma>

<Meeko makes a small belching sound, turns her back to Daruma and pads up to Orbit nuzzling her and purring>

"Fine... she can keep you if she'll have you... which I doubt. Few will put up with your antics... your food stealing... and your bed hogging."

<Meeko bounds over and pounces on Daruma knocking him to the floor... and then proceeds to slobber him with her tongue>

"Alright alright already... I love you too... I was just kidding... now get off of me you big bag of fur !!"

<Daruma regains his footing>

"Uh... yes... that's Meeko. Meeko... go make yourself known to our new kin." <Meeko begins stalking around the rest of the members of Odin's Hammer taking their measure and their scent... registering them as pack mates and not prey>

<Orbit confesses to Meeko that she heard floor boards creaking as they approached>

<Meeko lets out a snarl directed at Daruma>

"There was no need for stealth while entering here."

<Meeko snarls again>

"I know what you've always told me... to ALWAYS be stealthy."

<Meeko again lets out a low rumble in her chest>

"<sigh> Yes, I DO remember that time in the caves in Wizard's Folley."

<again Meeko emits a low rumble>

"Yes yes yes... I remember that time too when we were in the Tombs... but this is different."

<Meeko shakes her head and chuffs her disapproval at Daruma... then pads away to curl up in front of the warm fire burning in the fire place>

a balding unassuming man walks into the room looks curiously at Meeko and approaches Daruna.
Daruna spotting this apparent servant asks for a goblet of wine and a bowl of warm water for Meeko.
The man smiles says, "Yes, of course, at once, it must have been a long journey. Would you like to sit down?" He shows Daruma to a place at the table and then to Daruma's surprise sits down on the other side of the table. He smiles and says, "Welcome to Odin's Hammer, my name is Augmento." The other members of the guild all familiar with their leader's humbleness break out in laughter. The loudest are those who were similarly disarmed.

Wraith, adjusted his cape before entering the room so that it hung over his bow, unlike out in the wilderness where he needed it readily accessable.

As he entered he pulled out one of the spikes for his traps and began twirling it in his fingers. He smiled at the laughter of his kinsman, and, after noticing a new member sitting near Augmento, laughed himself as he remembered his first entrance into the guild hall.

He nodded in greeting to the other guild members as he grabbed a drink and sat in a chair near the left wall where he could watch the door for intruders

Nommad Pre-Searing Cadet Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: New Mexico	I joined this BWE (March) and had a blast. OH seems to be the guild for me... (I've joined and left several guilds since the Oct. BWE) No pressure to do anything, but enough members to get together and do something. Everyone was helpful and no one was critiical of newbies not knowing something.
