this is a monk smiting spell,
it hasnt worked for me since pre. how can i get it back on?
and while we are at it, what are the best spells for a monk?

i like banish. and obviously the healing prayers. what else is there?

Is it even on? Go to a town and press "k" then look if the spell is even on your spell bar.
