Exclamation Changing Camera Point of View

Is it possible to change the camera point of view from 3rd person to 1st person and if so how?

Use your scroll wheel to zoom all the way in.

Unfortunately, I don't have a scroll wheel. Is there a key combination I can use?

I doubt it. Go buy a mouse built less than 5 years ago.

trackball??? wtf??? dude, a laser mouse is like 15 bucks max (at least where I live anyway)... You'll greatly appreciate the vast advances in mouse technology they've made... you definately need a mousewheel, clickable mousewheel... and look for the laser mouse... aerodynamic, oh yeah... and they're not expensive so it's not a frivolous thing.

ps. when you're not fighting or if your fighting ranged and you have a safe vantage point, 1st person rocks!

Hehe..Hay, what can I say? I'm a Luddite. I do prefer 1st person mode and I guess I'm going to Frys Electronics for a new Trackball - laser, of course!

Just to make sure I've got this right, press and hold the left click button and scroll forward, right??

Thanks all,
Black Indigo

I preferred 1st person in Everquest, but there's so much action going on in GW, and the action is so fast, I've been in 3rd person since the first day. There's just not enough time during battles to have to spin around and check the environment, and in a tight battle not all the dots show up on the minimap.

so theres no way the camera sways automatically when you're in first person? like look in the direction you are looking in. cuz you dont always look in the direction your character is.

I sometimes use first person to appreciate the closer graphics but for practical use it has to be third person. I dont see how else you could have it.
