Default mixing armor

Hey I was wondering, from what I have read on the site armor does not stack?

I have a E/N would it then be better for me to get pyro, geo and another type of armor?

I am a bit confused as to how best to set it up.....any insight would be appreciated.

you can mix and match but it is best to have several sets for what you are facing and use the vault for switching

create 4 characters and get them to post searing equip each with beltpouch and a bag or 2 and use them for inactive storage space

going into areas where you will get attacked witk fire use a full pyromancer armor etc

they dont stack but they give protection to that area they cover

I appreciate your quick response.

One thing you hinted at though was that the answer was related to PvE game play. For myself I am not really concerned about my armor then (I am somewhat) I am concernd about it when it comes time to battle for the HoH.

so in the HoH are you then saying it would be best to have a mixed set of that which I think I will be facing? such as fire, water and air?

Each piece of armor affects a certain area of your body. All attacks are assigned to one area. Chest Gets hit most followed by Legs>Head>Gloves/Boots.

In HoH it will be almost impossible to know which armor to wear if you're an ele because you have almost no idea what kind of foes you'll be facing. mixing and matching won't help much for the exact reason Burem mentioned; damage is location based. My best suggestion? Do a few rounds and study what sort of attacks people use the most often and equip yourself accordingly.
