I have seen a lot of people post that only have one profession, how is that? and why would u do it?

Has anyone else seen it or done it? I would like to know how and why?

Anyone who has left the pre-searing noob area has a second profession. But you can choose not to put any attribute points into it, focusing them all on your primary profession. That's as close as you can get to a single profession.

they have their hearts set on being a pure single profession

as far as i know you need a second profession to enter the academy and leave the tutorial area but you can simply choose not to use any part of the second profession

it is stupid to handicap yourself this way but there will always be these type of people out there

In general I agree, but there can be very viable exceptions. Ex: an emel could spec a damage line, a protection/buff line and energy storage and not have much use for a second profession.

Then you added a henchmen. Unless you are still in presear, in which case, stay away from that guy, he's a nutter!

true

but in that case they havent lost a single attribute point, skill point, or bar slot to the secondary

and later they might find that a new skill has been added to the secondary line that is a great booster or compliment to an existing favorite

no loss and great potential gain

Actually I had a question about this too. I was in Tthe Tomb and got in a group with a Monk, he had no secondary, and was a real player, not a henchaman. How do you do this? Is it possible to make a one class character if you make a PvP only character?

If you make a PvP-only character, you can have it just have one profession, so that monk was probably a PvP-only character.

I have a level 9 necro in pre-searing stage. Was hoping he could get through the Searing without a second prof, just to be different. My other two chars have a second, so figured I'd atleast try.
