Right..

As far as i under stand there are 8 guild halls :

Nomads
Druids
Warriors
Magicians
Burning
Dead
Hunters

I was woundering how different are they. I know the appearance is different but is there any bonuses on any? Or is it just the apperance.

Also does anyone have any screenys of them?

They have slight variations in gameplay to.

If you go to the docks in Lion's Arch, you can go visit all of them for free.

I remember most have effects. My Guild is getting Druid's Isle. Here are the effects:
Druid-While standing in the river, you get a health regen. of 1.
Nomad-You can teleport using the teleporters.
Dead-Closable gates and I have also heard the water slows you down.
Frozen-Stand still on the ice and you begin to move 70% slower.
Burning-Lava Cripples and sets you on fire.
Warriors, Magicians, and Hunters I don't know about.

I hope that helped a bit

Surely there must be more effects than those you listed (this is the first time I heard about effects, sounds pretty sweet... does this mean throughout the entire game?)

Frozen-Stand still on the ice and you begin to move 70% slower.
Burning-Lava Cripples and sets you on fire.

these are both negative effects... there has to be a positive one too or nobody would ever get them

Nomad-You can teleport using the teleporters.
Dead-Closable gates and I have also heard the water slows you down.

What teleporters? Is this not just mapping? Or do you mean you can teleport to portals?

And what gates for the dead are you talking about ?

this is a very interesting topic

It is a neg. affect so the other team might walk in the lava or on the ice.
Teleporters are just like the ones in the desert but you dont have to play simon says.

ah, the negs are effects on opponents and not on the players? nice, offensive effects.

What about the gates? (I don't know the teleporters but I get a feeling if I probed further this would be a spoiler)

I think you might be a little confused, the guild hall effects are used during PvP battles, not PvE, so for example, the teleporters are not just mapping, they allow you to move around in one area. Any hall with negative effects may still be picked because it applies to both sides and the one side may be able to use it to there advantage.

warrior is the asian looking island.

one group starts at the castle, the other starts at the ship. just outside both gates there're trebuchets that you can use. you have to carry a repair kit to the trebuchet, and when it's repaired, you can use it to bombard enemy players inside their fortress.

that's the only hall i'm familiar with; a side question, is it possible for a guild to switch halls?

Yes but as i see, normaly they have 2.

And how is trebuchet's an added bonus? Arnt these bonuses to help the defending team win? Not to kill them easyerly.

No, both teams start off on even ground, or else it wouldn't be fair.

The island of the lower ranked guild.

But the negative and positive effect affect BOTH team. So in the lava map both your and the opposing team would be set on fire if they walked into the lava.

Wrong, the defenders always have slightly better advantage. Compare warriors island. The defenders have much more terrain advantage like high ground while the offenders have a dinky ship. It's just easier to charge a ship then a castle. The advantage is in the terrain, not direct powerups.

Be warned there is a known exploit with the Wizard's Hall. I will not give any info as i would hate to see more people do this. But if you go against any of the better guilds (who are not afraid to cheat) you will get screwed.
