Default newbie qn: How to broadcast invitations for party members?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I searched the forum and couldnt find an answer.

How do I broadcast in town that I'm looking for someone to join me for a quest? I've tried inviting people by clicking on them but they're not interested. It's bloody tedious. There must be an easier way. Help!

I'm new to multiplayer games and I'm not sure about the way it works. If someone joins me and he has completed a quest that I have not completed, what happens? Is that quest still available for me? Will my friend still get experience when he helps me complete that quest?

I find the best for me is something akin to:

LFG: fire ele 20 for Mantle's Wrath

or sometimes:

LFG: need 2 more for mission, good teamwork, great fun, beer if you're buying...

The second one has a lower success rate for picking up but the teams picked up via a light hearted message tend to have a higher success rate for completing missions/quests.

you'll have the hardest time when a quest is nearby or very easy. Sometimes it helps to grab a few henchies, step out the portal and hit M to see where your goal is first.

A good way would be to advertise your specialties. Let's say you are a fire nuker, perhaps you can start by Fire Nuker LFG to do xxx quest. But this normally works for cooperative missions better. At the beginning of the game, in Ascalon city, most of the quests can be done with henchmen. The quests there are quite easy that no one bothers to party up unless you are playing with your friends or something else.

i've almost never had trouble getting a group with this set up here

[Level] [Primary Profession]/[Secondary Profession] LFG for [Quest Name/ Mission]

it's also very good to try to join groups already put together too. If someone is spamming LFM (generally accepted to mean "Looking for more") then private message them and ask if you can join in.

LFM doesn't mean looking for more it means looking for monk

I won't say this applies to all MP games, but in GW, the quest is still available to you and your friend will get a share of the experience and loot while out in the wilds, but when you go back to collect your XP and goodies reward, that won't be available to your friend, cos they've already picked theirs up.

It's important that everyone who's qualified picks up the quests that they can, then everyone who's participating gets the objectives ticked off and can complete the whole thing at the end. There are some sequential quests where it might be most efficient to let the character who's furthest back in the sequence get their result first, so that they can then do the 'next' bit 'alongside' people who qualified for it earlier.
