Default Soldiers armour

When you first reach the crystal desert you start of in a port. The armourer there sells a wide veriety, but the soldiers armour has the same stats as chainmail does but it cost more and needs more material.

Is there a point?

The devs definitely need to crack down on the NPCs' greedy, cheating behaviors

The soldier's armor looks exactly like the collectors armor, so I have no clue why they would make it cost more. It should be the other way around, if anything. Plus you can get 80AL collector's armor from the collectors in the desert, so there is no real reason to buy the Soldier's armor just for the looks.

A good example of people paying alot for looks is Fissure armor, which costs about 1.4 million gold more than forge armor and has a crappier selection.
