I know this sounds stupid, and I know I done did a stupid thing tonight. What happened. I got a really nice trecheon from a kill. After the battle was over I checked my Inventory to find out what it was. A Purple Trecheon 8-16 dmg unidentified. I thought I had clicked on the identification tool kit but when I clicked on the trecheon it turned to 2 ingots! Oops! Must have been the salvage kit. Question is- is there a way to reverse this in the future? Or do I have to really pay better attention from now on...

don't tell me about it... I'm cursing as I coulda made some money off some ido.. err I mean n00.. errr i mean some other player

Got a Gold drop in Crystal Desert (can't remember which map).. really, really happy... but it was just a crappy Fiery Dragon Sword .. hehe.. but it was max damage and was +15% when over 50% health.. I use axes.. but that tempted me to swap to swords.. or go to ascalon or LA to sell..

but 1st headed to merchant to clear my inventory of all the junk I'd sold.. started salvaging the salvage items... wasn't paying enough attention.. when BANG... bye bye max dmg gold fiery dragon sword! pfft!

Oh wells.. I needed the iron ingots anyways bt still.. I'm still cursing as I could have either used it or sold it for some money.. but as said.. it's happened to us all.

Yep. This happens to everyone. It's a real shame that you can't reverse it, though -- guess it's just a lesson that we need to pay more attention.

A good way to rectify the problem though is to make sure to put all valuables into the last pouch/bag you have. That way, all the crap you wish to sell/salvage remains in your primary/default pack.

I've had it happen quite a few times, nearly on frequent occasions. However, since slapping those gold/rare items into my F8 bag, I've never had the problem once. Let's just hope it stays that way.

...Don't mind all the /'s...I have no clue what I was doing.

Yep, thats what I do. I learnt my lesson after salvaging a gold staff & then selling a purple wand to a trader by mistake.

Glad someone else agrees with the solution, and uses it even!

I have to thank you Sho Kasaki for that idea. don't know why i never thought of it before. I have moved my goodies into my 1st bag.. should make sure I don't accidently sell or salvage things I wanna keep.

now just makes me wish I had even more storage than I do... I need it.. hehe.. either that or I could sell or use some of the stuff I've got... lol but thats another hwole issue

Buy a two runes of holding as soon as you, can +5 storage in each bag, 500gp each but pay for themselvs in no time as you can carry on in your quest/ mission/ farm rather than have to go to trader or storage.
