Default Quest. "reduce dmg" runes? O_o

OK...I know that you cannot put 2 of the same runes on your character...
(i.e.) put 2 Minor Sworsmanship Runes on your chacter...only ONE.

OK...but what about "Lesser Damage" runes? There's a set in which all 4 or 5 armor pieces have it all on...do these ALL add up...or only ONE of those have that rune attribute?

Also, I noticed that if you buy a Helm that has +1Swordsmanship already on it, you can put another one on top...but cannot add the same 2nd rune...

Now, there is no "Fail Safe" to check if putting on 2 of the same runes on your char i think...so I "think" you lose that rune and the money you spent on it??? Correct me if I"m wrong on that.

***Basically, I'm wondering if there are "Speical" runes where u can add more than 1 of those runes on your character and can "ADD" up those benefits.

***If you Can NOT...then I guess i just lost 150g because the system let me put on 2 of those "lesser damage" runes on my character...both on different armors. ((Don't feel like testing 2 same runes on 1 armor))

Thanks for any answers ahead of time...

Right only one will work

Its a consistent dmg reduction, that only affects the peice hit, but the absorb RUNE you add will stack with them ALL

Yes you can add a super swordsmanship to get a +4 outta this deal but no use putting a major/minor on because, naturally it will be overwritten by the sup

wait wait KRANK...that didn't make sense...

OK...you just said that "Dmg Absobtion" can stack? OK, so if I buy the PRE-set armor WITH those attributes on them already...it will work...

But If i decide to buy a regular armor and add those same attribute runes on those armor pieces...only ONE will have the effect and the rest won't???

You confused me with contridicting statements...

Well ok dmg absorbtion from RUNES doesnt stack
but when you get armour with built in reduction, (ascalon/knights) the dmg reduction DOES stack with ONE rune

BTW, the "Damage reduction" on the armor is equal to a minor Absorb rune, which is -1 dmg.

wth...I thought the dmg system was just ADDED up in the total...not their individual pieces that behing hit....or are they all added up, if I read wrong...

Anyways...that SUCKS...lol. So basically buying those "minor abosorbtoin" pre-made armors suck??? Please say that's true.

Because I REALLY wana use the Gladiator set for better Energy reserves.
""good thing i dind't buy more "minor absorb" runes...**

thx guys...please add anything else that might be of big help...if i forgot anything related to this topic...

Actually the -2 + rune dmg reduce is much better to have than lets say a +30 fort addition, i love my ascalon armour

the damage reduction from knights or ascalon armor is -2 reduction. Each piece is -2, and they don't stack, they are "general" effect just like runes.

Incorrect & correct. The damage reduction is global - thus you only need ONE piece of either ascalon or knights armor to get the benefit from the damage reduction. Correct in that runes of absorbtion do stack with the knights/ascalon damage reduction effect.

I believe if your wearing a helmet which gives +1 axe mastery and put in sa axe mastery rune, you'll get the bonus from both the helmut and the rune. don't see why you wouldn't.

You mean Armor Level (AL) or the damage reduction?

AL only applies to the area the armor covers - this includes any damage type bonuses (ie +x AL vs fire/cold/etc). So if yourr wearing 100 al armor everywhere but your chest and wearing a 5 AL armor on your chest... and you get hit in the chest.. only the 5 AL armor will apply to the damage calc.

the damage reduction is global but does not stack on itself. This means if you wear knights/ascalon boots you get the full reduction (-2) no matter where your hit. but if you wear 2 or more pieces of ascalon/knights armor you still only get -2 reduction.. not -4+ reduction.

Get yourself 1 piece of them. It's well worth the loss of whatever else is available on that piece for the -2 global damage reduction. I'd suggest getting the boots or guantlets.. I have the boots... and that -2 damage adds up big time ..

Go for it! I have full gladiator set except for helm and boots - boots are ascalon (for global damage reduction) and executioners helm (for axe mastery). so all I'm missing is 2 energy.. the benefit I get from missing those 2 is well worth it IMO.
