Default Newb question

Hi guys, sorry if this is a stupid question.
I had died right after a quest ended. When i resurected i went to the person i needed to go to to finish the quest, finished and logged out.
What i didnt realize is that i lost my pet.

Question.
1. Can i go back to the quest to retreive it?
2. If not is it possible to get another once you've gone "over the wall"
3. If i can where can i see which are avail to get.

Thanks for the input. Let me know if i shoud have posted this somewhere else

Your pet will always come back as long as you have the 'charm animal' skill in your skill bar. You can get new pets throughout the game as long as you give away your current pet to a tamer first.

As far as I know the only way you can lose a pet is by leaving it with the tamer outside Ascalon City.
And assuming you have indeed lost your pet, there are many animals scattered throughout the game world that can be tamed.

I'm a Mo/R
I've found out yesterday farming drakes with a W/Mo in the desert that even if your pet dies, he still get's Xp when you kill stuff. Mine leveled up from 8-9 while he was dead since the beggining of the session.

Yep. Check to see if you are packing Charm Animal in your skill bar. If you took this ability of from skillbar your pet will not be there with you.

Your pet has a way of just hanging in there. If you are ranger as second profession, and you change your second profession to something else, you of course do not have access to your ranger pet. But if you change your second profession back to ranger and again equip the charm animal skill, you get your same pet back with the same experience level. At least so I understand it.

Yeah, my Snow Wolf went from 9-10 after it died in one of the Maguuma Jungle quests.
