1. i was woundering if the lvling is fast? i recon that FFXI was slow lvling, EQ2 was verry slow lvling, WoW is rather fast lvling, how fast is the lvling in GW compared to these?

2. how dose the war against guild work? sign up at a npc?

3. dose it take forever to get a game?

Getting to level 20 is pretty easy.
And you can make a PvP character anyway.
However you need to unlock skills, runes, and weapons for PvP.

But maybe you should get advice from others as I don't PvP at the moment.

I don't understand questions 2 and 3 so I can't help you there.
Sorry.

getting to level 20 isnt so bad. but you need to PvE a bit to unlock skills and runes for your PvP character. you can make pVp only characters too. you guild v guild by getting invited into a guild and battling with other guilds. you must be a member of a guild to gvg. im not a big pvpr though...and i think you mean does it take forever to get into a guild vs guild battle by question 3? well, my guild waited only a few minutes before getting our butts handed to us by a ranked guild. oh well.

During busy times of the day, there is very little waiting,
and as for lvl 20, one of my guildmates got to lvl 20 in a little less then 3 days.
He had a decent selection of skills, and was to a place where he could buy all the basic ones.

Cartoonhero understands me corectly ^^

thx all, but i still would like to know if any one has played either World of warcraft, finalfantasy 11 or everquest 2 and tell me how the xp gaining is compared to these games?

at what lvl do you start GvG?
what are the lvls in GvG, 20-29. 30-39 and so on?

i've read some about this game and if i've gotten it right i can put two classes together, like ranger/mezmer and i guess the lvl would be 20/10 or 30/15?

sry for my poor english, im a swede

How the levels and primaries/secondaries work:

You have one level. It can go from a lvl 1 in Pre-Sear Ascalon to a tough lvl 20 at who knows where. You will eventually get 200 attribute points, which you can spend on several different attributes from both your primary and your secondary. Basically, the higher the level you are, the more attribute points you have. You can choose whether to make your primary or secondary stronger.

GvG, The Tomb of the Primeval Kings (War against Worlds), and the Arenas you can technically start at any level, although lvl 20 (max) is recommended. The nice thing about GW is that it gives you the ability to make a lvl 20 character purely for PvP. However, to get the weapon upgrades and skill choices you need to be effective, the easiest way to get them is through playing a PvE character first to unlock them.

And your English is fine; bad English is better than leetspeak anyway.

there arent differnet lvls for each class just a general lvl.

you can only go to lvl 20 anyways

there are six classes:
warrior
ranger
mesmer
elementalist
necromancer
monk

you comine those into any of 30 combonations:
w/r
w/me
w/e
w/n
w/mo
etc...r/...me/...e/...n/...mo/...

and as i understand ur GvG lvl question i don't think there are "GvG lvls" persay but there are rankings 1st - 1000th i think

Getting to level 20 isn't too hard, and goes by relatively fast, but right when you turn level 20, you still ahve half of the game left to complete. Level in Guild Wars doesn't really matter that much, one level 20 could be a lot farther in the game than a different level 20.

Thx a lot for all the info guys, i've desided to buy the game after my subscription in WoW has expired.

if lvl 20 is max lvl i should be max lvl in no time
even though the game kinda starts at lvl 20 it's nothing compared to wow where you only get much Hounor points (need hounor to rankup) if you'r lvl 60. and when you are lvl 60 you need to do dungeouns with 10-40 players that takes HOURS to do and afterwards you might not have what you went there for (ofc you can get nice armor befor lvl 60 but not the ones you need for PvP)
anyways, thx again

for me, getting to lvl 20 with my 2nd character took about 3 days so its pretty easy to get to lvl 20.
lvling compared to WoW in my opinion is about the same if not slower. in WoW i levelled my hunter up to lvl 15 in a few hours, in gw it will take about a day or more to lvl up that much.

Sounds great Gustav

btw, is the pet for a ranger as "useless" in GW as it is for a hunter in WoW?
(not that it's totaly useless butt i feel that it dosn't REALY do me any good in WoW, though my hunter is an alt so it dosn't have stealth or stuf like that)

The grind in GW is much, much faster than those in WoW, SWG, or Matrix, from my experience.

Thing about guild wars though, is that since it's a skill based game, it really helps to get all the skill for all the profs to come to understand them.

I like this game a lot, no problem recommending it.
