Question about order of conditions when applied at the same time - Guild Wars Forums

so if i use apply poison and then shoot someone with crippling shot or pindown, which condition applies first?

If I had to guess I'd say apply poison would be applied first because whenever something like this happens and I'm using mend ailment I seem to remove others before apply.

I could be crazy though, good question.

Anyone else have any insight on this? The reason for the question is i want to know if i would be covering the cripple with poison or not.

whatever one gets to the target first, the poison or the cripple.

Unless it is an issue of condition removal, I don't think it matter which gets there first as they are not the same type of condition. Cripple is movement-based while poison is health degen based.

Always arrow first, then prep. So in this case, Cripple would be covered by the poison

Seeing as the inherent effect of the shot is to pin them down or cripple, it takes hold first <I'm assuming> then on the stack, apply poison is added. When the first resolves, the second takes hold <IE:apply poison>

This also works with the "splash" Kindle Arrow+Apply Poison combo <which I love> Prep for Kindle+apply = Kindle resolves first, hitting the group and then it applies poison to all hit targets. Nice combo, that.

Huh, you are really confusing me or are confused??

Apply Poison = Prep
Kindle Arrows = Prep

You can only have 1 active, correct?

Where is "splash" damage coming from?

Perhaps you are thinking of Ignite Arrows (prep) + Poison Arrow (attack)? If so, there is no splash poisoning, is there?
