How can you change second professions once you get into post searing? I thought(silly me) that after yo choose your two professions that you were stuck.

well just keep doing all the missions and get farther in the game, you will reach an area called the crystal desert, there you test your worthiness of the gods by completing 3 missions, after completing these 3 missions all you do is go back to one of the towns, and fight your dopplegnager. Then after you beat your dopple, beat dragons lair and you arrive at droknars forge. you should get a quest called heroes journey i believe, in which you go back to the desert and travel to 3 towns. After you finish that quest, you talk to the people with quests in the towns, and complete them. Once you complete the quests, you can change your second profession to which ever quest you beat

You dont have to do Dragon's Lair, and you dont have to take Heros Journey.

Just Ascend by beating the doppleganger.

That quest is designed for you to find the ghosts if you were not aware you could swith - it isnt a requirement.

But you have to do a mission in order to get the second 15 attribute point quest....

Does anyone know if your secondary is a Ranger with a pet and you change secondary to something else, then change secondary back to Ranger, will your pet come back as well?

There is not a single negative effect to changing your secondary profession, it is in every way completely reversible. Just try it!

Default couple other bits

-All the quests you've done you can't redo, so if you've done all the skill quests you could as your original combo, you can't re-run them.

-That said there is a small pool of quests (ascalon - yaks) that are class specific quests for skills you will be able to do

Obviously though getting the skills and elites you may want for a new secondary can get particularly expensive, especially since GW made them a MUCH bigger money sink than they were previously (and still they cost the skill point each, tho they made that a little easier)

So far, that is the big negative I've found with the switching of your secondary... now I have a monk/necro with no necro skills, and if I want some to use, I have to buy them for 1K each.

I'm not one of those people who have figured out how to make money to the point of carrying around 50K just for pocket change, so changing my profession was kind of useless for me, as the skills I want, I can't afford.

Any thoughts?
