Tried the little E3 preview last year, forgot everythin about this game. Does this game have alot of downtime? (Sitting and waitin for health)

There's practically no downtime whatsoever. Health regenerates quickly when you're not attacking or being attacked. It even regenerates at the same speed while you're running, too. If you use some decent self-healing ability after fights, you can basically go from zero health to full in ten-twenty seconds, or certainly before the next wave of enemies comes up.

Although you didn't expressly ask for this, there's also no downtime as regards travelling. Once you've visited a town or outpost, you can press M and instantly teleport to it regardless of how far away it is. There's also no downtime waiting for parties, as there's always several parties looking for members at practically every outpost/mission. The only thing in this game that could be even remotely construed as downtime is obtaining better armour/skills, if you're obsessed with always being on top of your game.

No, lol... that's what makes it so fast paced... even in missions. If you're not being attacked for a certain amount of time, your health regenerates... pretty quickly, I might add.

In PvE, the time between fights can be as short or as long as you like, really. For one, your party Healer might already be healing you, or you'll just self heal, naturally.

In PvP, the healers will be trying to keep everyone alive, so, as you can imagine, healing comes fast an furious.

No, it doesn't. Energy regenerates constantly. Health regenerates constantly when not in combat, too. You'll go from near empty to completely full at the maximum levels within the space of 20~30 seconds for both. So, during a mission you'll often recover everything you've lost in one fight by the time you reach the next. And that next fight is only seconds away in the first place. Travel to places you've been before is instant, too, and grouping is quick and easy thanks to instancing and lobbies being place around any place you'd want to go meaning you'll meet people there who share your goal. There's very little sitting around and waiting in Guild Wars.
