Default Invisible item bonuss or bug?

I found a Shocking Giant's Slayers Hammer of Enchanting (purple) with these mods:

Lightning dmg 18-34 (req 12 hammer mastery)
dmg +11% while enchanted
Enchantments last 13 % longer.

It does NOT tell me the dmg bonus on fighting giants - a bug?

obviously, because if it was a giant slayers hammer then it'd say damage +11% against GIANTS not while enchanted, definately a bug of some sort

That hammer has, oddly, nothing to do with Giants. If you tack on a Giant Slayer mod, it will be Giant Slayer's Hammer of Giantslaying... odd name.

No, it's not a bug, the name giant slayer's hammer simply refers to the skin type. I was fooled by this myself the first time I saw it. I kind of think that was strange on Anet's part to name a hammer that, because it would be redundant to get a giant slayer's hammer of giantslaying... but I digress.

Edit: Theos beat me to it and said the exact same thing as me in fewer words.

the apostrophy position implies it shud belong to a giant, not kill them.

it is a Slayers Hammer of Enchanting that you stole from a poor innocent Shocking giant, or so the grammar of it implies.

yeah, Giant Slayers is just a name for the item, it got nothing to do with mods on it. They often can be found in SF.

This item sounds interesting but quite cool.

I am always looking to find unique/odd items so if you're willing to part with this hammer contact me in game and we can work out a price.
Account 1: Princess Daenerys
Account 2: Luci Fur

Again, pretty cool drop.

I wouldn't if I were you... As I said it is a quiet common drop in sorrows (tho i've never seen a gold one). And it has Rams hammer skin, so no cool look either

Killing those giants are fun, and fast.

I took on 15 of them once, almost died but I came out fine

its gaint (no s) slayers hammer.

As in....it BELONGS to a Gaint that slays, not a human that slays gaints.

Its a common drop off Gaint Types like Summit beastmasters or tundra gaints.

Like Chicken Eating Dog >_> think of that one. Is it a chicken eating a dog, or a dog that eats chicken?

Any enemy that carries "Gaint Stomp" is a gaint type (they ALL do as of now) - they are all immune to knockdown also.

Summit Beastmasters, Tundra Gaints, etc.
