Account Combining Problem - Guild Wars Forums

I bought the new Factions game yesterday. I got the code and created the account and started to play the game. I was really enjoying the game but I was a bit confused because there were top levels playing and then I realised that I should have combined the new account with my previous account. I do not have a clue what to do. Can any one help me please? (Yes, I know I'm a div!!!)

You're stuck with 2 different accounts and unfortunately, you can't reverse the merging.

Yes, a lot of people just blindly created an account with their key without ever thinking "my, shouldnt I have merged accounts?"

My personal opinion is they should have gave instructions with the Factions Box (like on the front of the access key card) that told how to merge the key with a previous account,and how to make it a stand alone account.

That would've fixed alot of people up right there. Some people just "assumed" they'd be given an otpion when creating the account to merge i t with a different one. They didnt relize there is a specific button you have to press called "Add key to existing account" or w/e.

it was fairly simple. log in. edit access keys.

That feature no longer works the way you think.

When you "Manage Access Keys" from your character selection screen, all it does is SHOW you what keys you have - You can no lnoger input them from that screen.

You have to logout and push "Create Account or Add Access Key"
