Default farming scales

right now i'm trying to get my ranger his 15k armor and I need 400 scales but I can't find a place or monstar that drops scales to a good extent, anyone know where i could farm some good amounts, might even throw in a reward for good info.

** also i try'd to use the search but couldn't due to server overload or something, sry if this was asked before.

Things that I have found to drop OK scales.

The monsters in the desert missions.

The fire imps outside D'Allesio.

IMO, Best place to farm for scales would be Elona Reach. Farm the hydra's outside and all around. Thier claws salvage into at least 6-8 scales per hydra claw with sup or normal salvage kit.

I farm them with my necro 55 and can easily get 25-30 claws a run, hence around 125 - 140 scales.

Since you need it for Factions anyway, why not farm the Naga?

There's large numbers of them just south of Cavalon in Luxon territory. You *should* be able to salvage the Naga Skin for a good number of Scales.

[EDIT] \/ That's true. I did that for a while, and they salvage 3 scales at a time.

Probably not as good as the others here but the Bog Skale at the end of the Ettin run always give skale fins which salvage into scale.

Bog scales outside of Fisherman's Haven are pretty good for it too.

I usually farm the Bog Skales just outside of LA when i need scales, there's plenty to kill there and i get around 25-30 scales per run.

I've salvaged scales from Naga hides in Cantha as well. Might want to check that out.
