I've tested knockdown skills as a Ranger/Warrior (Thumper) and it doesn't knock down turtles, juggernauts, or shiro tagachi.

However, my warrior can knock them down with skills like devestating hammer, heavy blow. Odd.

Maybe you can only knockdown when you have stonefist gauntlets.

I have tryed elementalist skills that are supposed to knock the target foe down on shiro juggernauts turtles and many flying creatures but it just kind of stops them from moving.
