Unhappy Need to report forum user (issue under review by Dralspire)

Hi,

Am I doing any justice in reporting someone that has sold me a Victors Axe that was customized by them? I knew nothing about customizations and this individual told me it was all ok and a weapon smith could remove it. Silly thing is I believed him and lost 20k. My own fault I know, but I have emailed this person and he won’t respond.

What can I do?

Learn from the experience, there isn't much more that can be done. Reporting will probably get you nowhere in this case.

Not really, he wasn't really breaking any game rules. Sure, it's rather immoral taking advantage of your ignorance, but it's really your fault for not researching before you bought something.

I wouldn't worry about it too much - 20k might a few days to earn, but remember it's just virtual cash. Just learn from your mistakes, and make sure you know the market price/any catches before you buy stuff from other players.

You had 20K to spend on an item and yet you know nothing about customization? Hmmm...

A farming and trading newbie is a dissaster waiting to happen
Why don't you just farm yourself a lot of money, and check the prices here in this forum?

Price check

Buy stuff

Sell stuff

If he told you you could de- or re- customize the weapon then he DID do something wrong and should be reported. Hopefully you have the screenshots to prove what he said and did.

Not that anything will likely be done about it... but thats another story. :P

If he was guilded you could try to contact the guild leader and tell him, if it's a decent guild they will ask him to pay back the money or get kicked.

Doesn't the Trade Window warn you that custimized items cannot be used by anyone other than who theyre customized to?

I am sure a window pops up and warns you before the trade completes.

If this is the case, reporting will get you ablolutely no where...

Even if you could report him, I know you didn't take a screenshot and probably don't know how. Here's an idea: don't buy customized weapons!

I`d report him, then if he gets reported by someone else they might take a look due to having his name reported before. You never know.

I seen many banned due to those matters, just have a screenshot. I leave my ignore list completly empty, so after reporting them I can feel the justice when they PM me back with a message saying " why you reported me blah blah on suspension".
