Post Prophecies...Factions...and coming soon Nightfall, how will you divide the time?

Hello Everyone,

I'm fairly new around here, and do more reading than posting...

I have had Prophecies for a year now though I really only have been playing for about the last month-month and a half steadily. Job change and 2 moves in the last year had prevented me from playing it since the time of purchase until just recently...

I love the open feel of Prophecies, the quests and missions and the free travel...on my main character I'm about to do the Iron Mines and I know there are a few more missions following that.

I bought Factions about 2 weekends ago but haven't really done anything with it (except merge the accounts and access the Mats storage) , and here Nightfall is fast approaching...

I'm already behind the curve in several areas (or feel like I am) concerning weapons/items/time in game/etc ...and I HATEleaving something un-finished (hence why I haven't really started Factions yet)...

So how will you divide your time between the 3 (I know most of you all have probably been playing Proph/Factions since release)? Or will you just focus on one primarily? Or will you abandon the older ones for Nightfall?

Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions?

I would finish one at the time and take your time. Maybe jump Factions and start with Nightfall to not fall behind everyone to much but thats only considering you are buying NF. Hope you have fun.

Well, here's how I think if it.

You give your time, your money, for what? Well entertainment and fun.

As long as it's fun, it's entertaining and your not feeling bored, than keep useing your time playing whatever campaign you wish.

well lets see. Bought Prophecies cause it looked good. Heard about factions a couple of weeks later with the Dragon Festival so went and bought it. Leveled two proph chars to get to Dragon Fest and 1 Factions char. 5 months later and 500+ hours Have one char at Hells Precipice (last mission) one at Droks and my Faction is hanging out at Altrium. My goal is to have Proph finished by at least 1 char before nightfall release (which I have already pre-ordered ) Factions x1 may or may not be done by then. Maybe.

I play Proph and factions by mood. Sometimes I feel like visiting Cantha sometimes Tyria, and soon will have the chance to explore a new land called elonia. Go where you want, when you want and when you ready to go. You don't have to feel pressured to move to a new land before you are ready.

Having logged in way too many hours playing both Prophecies and factions, and getting at 5 characters through Prophecies and 1 through factions as well, I plan on abandoning factions except for the occasional ABs and getting the materials storage for any new characters I create.

I'll still goof around in Prophecies, helping guildies get through missions & whatnot. Doing TOMBS runs and ettin farming & all that fun stuff.

But I'll probably be spending the majority of my time in Nightfall. I plan on making a Paragon and taking my Mesmer through it as well (shooting for the KOABD Title ) If I enjoy it as much as I enjoy Prophecies, I may take my other chars through it as well.

Now, if I were in your position, I'd probably start up a character in factions and one in Nightfall and spread the playing time around between the three until I got them all the way through their respective story-lines. Like everyone has already said, do what you enjoy doing and whatever suits the mood you're in at the time.

What i would suggest. IS Get NF and the reason for that is You will stay current with other players as well as get your hero's which u can take to other chapters and finish up missions and quests without so much reliance upon PUGs.

Thanks for all the thoughts, I will likely finish Prophecies out with my main character at least.

Narutoscyred...Your not the first person who's expressed that sentiment concerning Factions VS Prophecies to me...which I suppose is why I've been delaying even starting it, most people who loved Prophecies for the same reasons I do dislike Factions by comparison but I'll try almost anything once well except for maybe WoW...
