I remember two HUGE mobs of Mursaat near the endgame of Prophecies. One is at the end of Ice Caves, the other is at the begining of Ring of Fire. I'm pretty sure both mobs have around 10-15 members, but they're all Mursaat spellcasters so gfl.

well if you run down that last ramp behind the hunters you could end up with about 20 spiders on ya. The scale ice eles are kinda bada$$ though. The highest level non boss exempting the catacombs and north wall though are the melandrus stalkers lol. Oh yeah, and that river drake right outside ascalon.

some areas of the catacombs are pretty loaded. Theres that one room with the gargoyles, but they aren't aggressive...
near them is the skele room which would be fun to argo

Are you asking about quantity or level, seems to be a mix of the two being answered?

There are a lot of critters in Green Hills but they are scattered about. Zone out/in to the portal near the trainers to reset them.

There are a lot of skale out of Fort Ranik, plus the spiders. Also in that zone are all the critters where you get the horn purified.

Really you could leave Ascalon and head to the river, fight the skales and drake and then go into the cave where you get the eggs and stinger.

Out of Foibles are the bears, golems, bandits, etc on the way to where you meet Orion for that quest.

So all of them are scattered about, there really isn't an area like the troll cave that comes to mind. The skales out of Ranik may be the closest since they aggro.

As far as levels go, the Bull can be killed over and over if you don't complete the quest, the drake in the lake, the skale "boss" near Ashford, the skeleton in the catacombs "undead hallway" - I think those are all level 5. Others, excluding Charr?

I agree that the Skales, and Spiders outside of Fort Ranik would be the bigges since there are so many in such a condensed area. Otherwise in the Green Hills there are a lot of the grawl and "boulder dudes" but they are more spread out over a large area.
