Winters Day Extended? - Guild Wars Forums

Seeing how they extended Winters Day to the 11th because of the earthquake.. Are they going to redo the hat finale? I read on the main site that they're still giving away items for them, but will they get hats? Because they were gone the whole festival, and it would be really pathetic that they couldn't get them.

If so, when will it be? Will it be only for them, or will everyone be able to get them again?

It's possible the finale will happen in the Asian realms, but not for Euro ar American

Pathetic? Thats a pretty strong choice of words. Gaile and crew have been collecting presents and doing whatever they can to help out the people who were *forced* to miss the Finale. It would be nice if they DID redo the hat giving, at least for that region, but it wouldn't be pathetic if they didn't. :\

Pathetic isn't a strong choice, it's the truth. Think about it, what are presents going to do? You can BUY presents. Presents will ALWAYS be out there. Not hats, no... They're once a year, and they're customized. Ever heard of significant value (I think that's the word)? Sure, it's a nice thing in what they're doing, but as I said, it's pathetic. The least they could do is maybe not have a new 'finale' but maybe just have a present when they sign on in their inventory. It would take them 3 minutes for them to do that. But, they won't.. Here's the third time of me saying, it's pathetic.

Besides Mournblade, I'm sure you got your hat. If I didn't get my hat, I would be extremely ticked off. As it was the only reason I even attended Winters Day.. Same with a lot of people (Not everyone). (Wouldn't let me edit)

The word you're looking for is "sentimental".

Also, you really have no basis to claim how long it would take ANet to do something like that, since you are not an ANet dev, nor have they told you it would take about 3 minutes...

If that kind of coding really only took 3 minutes and they still didn't do it, then I would be inclined to use the word pathetic (maybe almost as much as you do). However I believe there's just a little more work involved.

And as far as being angry - yes I would be. I would be angry if I missed out on getting a hat when it wasn't my fault. I wouldn't go slamming ANet though if they didn't get me a hat. I'd still rather have them work on something new because I wear my holiday hats about .03 percent of the time I play.

Yes, sentimental.. Couldn't come up with it, thanks. To being 3 minutes, I was being sarcastic. I'd still think it wouldn't take days and days, but I have no word in that. All in all, unfair.

The Burried treasure and do not touch stuff, Is it Gone once Winterday is gone or does it stay for good like the hat guy?
