Default what happens at 20?

when i reach lvl 20 by doing missions and just grinding, what happens then? are there missions still after that for better equipment and better skills? are there missions that will give me extra skill points? i know theres pvp at lvl 20, but what about the pve component? are there some high lvl bosses in the game that drop good loot or something of that sort?

At level 20... The game begins. Especially in Factions and Nightfall, most of the game is geared towards level 20 characters.

The big thing to remember in Guild Wars is that the level isn't really important. Just think of level 20 as "100%" not a level itself.

It just means that your character has all the basic necessities to begin playing the game at its full difficulty and experience.

Bosses drop "green" items. These are essentially pre-modified Gold/Purple (in the sense that most are max, some aren't.)

You get skill points by filling your experience bar after attaining level 20. So if you fill your experience bar 3 times, you will gain 3 more skill points, but NO more attribute points.

Equipment is essentially streamlined into being similar across the board. Your armor has only one mod (insignia) your weapons have two plus an inscription (exceptions are off-hands and wands, who only have one mod and an inscription.)

As soon as you hit a "level 20" city (Kaineg City, Droknar's Forge, Consulate Docks, etc.) you have full access to "the most powerful" armor, bosses don't drop armor either (wearable at least.)

As I said before, you can get Green items from bosses, these are max items (with few exceptions) that already come with the modifications availible to them. Otherwise, you need Blue/Purple/Gold items that usually come with mods (not always max.) You can purchase weapons and insignias/runes from NPC traders, and then inscriptions/weapons/mods from other players.

I hope that helps.
