Trialkey nightfall + new prophecies? - Guild Wars Forums

Hi there, ive got a question regarding using a trial key for Nightfall and character transfer.

I gave out a trial key for Nightfall to a friend of mine. He created a ranger and likes the game, however he might be tempted to buy the original guildwars prophecies first as his primary game, instead of nightfall.

Would it be possible for him to keep his character and transfer it to Tyria once he bought it? as it is likely that within the 10hours of playtime on the trial key, he wouldnt have completed the consulate docks mission yet. I'm guessing he'd have his character either stuck, or transferred to the temple of balthazar?

Well, he has to buy Nightfall also. Once he has both Prophecies and Nightfall, he can travel to LA via Kamadan. He'll get his char back if he buys NF.. I think..

Hmm. Obviously not a very good move to get a newbie character jumped to Lions Arch anyway but ah well. I guess we'll find out tomorrow for sure when we hit the shop and merge the keys.
.. If they still carry prophecies anyway ^^
