Default Two accounts, two computers

I think there are probably quite a few GW players who, like me, have two accounts (or more) and run those two accounts simultaneously on two computers side-by-side. I think this is referred to as 'dual boxing'. I've done searches in these forums to find others people's ideas and experiences of this set-up but so far I've found nothing.

I only play this way occasionally (I have enough problems controlling one character, never mind two) but it can be great fun.

If someone could direct me to any threads on this subject I'd really appreciate it. I'm particularly interested to find out how people go about controlling their characters, what builds are successful, tactics and so on.

I thought about doing this a very long time ago... for dual ss/55 runs but I never got the chance. Everyone doubted me though =p

it would be a nice way to get a bonder without wasting hero slots. you could put heros on your second account with simple builds that you wouldnt have to micro. all you would have to do is move your second character. I beleive that its also legal to have a macro to hit blessed signed for you.

Ive done so to run, clear the way for quests and do missions for characters on my other account. Never tried to play with both though.

I do this.

I have my tilde ~ key set to select the first person in the party list when hit on both accounts.

I play one character. The other one I just keep hitting that key and the space bar to keep the other accounts heroes with the group.

Occassionally I'll put a non targeted AOE skill on the character like Heal Party and hit that when I remember.

I usually only do this to rush new characters through the game or to get multiple characters through new content. For example, I have a ranger on one account and my rit on another. I'll probably play GW:EN with my Ranger and just have my Rit tag along with her heroes to speed things up (have 10 characters and only 3 of them are done with GW:EN...warrior is at 2nd to last quest now though).

I also have runners on each account to run characters. Mostly do this in Prophecies though (like for the jungle, or getting them to drok's or the desert cities or ascalon). Still, nice to be able to run yourself.

UW works well one of two ways - SS and invincitank of some kind as well as VwK Spirit Bonder and a "hero" smite bonder though in this case the "hero" would obviously be your other account. This takes less input than a SS/tank and you still get the drops.

Also running, as shrouded said, can speed things up for new chars on a second account.

I'm afraid my second account is strictly a mule account, although I do run two computers at the same time, side by side. I have helped out my sister a time or two by running her when she can't get somewhere by logging her into the second PC and pulling her along in the party. (There is a 14 hour time difference between us, so I am often on when she is not.)

My normal set up is to have communications running on the second PC (team speak, messaging programs, etc.), the mule account logged in and minimized, while I play on the main PC. Lets me keep track of everyone I normally talk to online while not having to pay much attention.

EDIT: Typos
