Can anyone tell me if it's possible to customize shields? Thanks you.

No, as there would be no benefit in doing so.

Some shields will come customized (Game of the Year, BMP rewards, etc), but there's no special benefit, it's just to prevent you from trading them.

Destroyer shields can also be customized by adding them to your Hall of Monuments.
