Arrow Returning Player, once again =D

hi all,

after another hiatus (which was meant to be perm) from GW, i'm drawn back in x.x! i know i'm going to get GW 2 (beta out end of this year?? meaning it'll be out Q1/2 of next year?), but i was wondering if i should get GW:EN
I'm mainly a PvEr, if that helps the answer.

i am also curious as to the monument bonuses and other bonuses players who have GW:EN get
"Monuments commemorating your Guild Wars achievements that give access to special items and titles in Guild Wars 2 "
are the reqs for special items or monuments released?? : )

thanks in advance

Yes, you should get GW:EN if you're mainly a PvEr.

Even though I hardly ever PvE, I find GW:EN the most enjoyable piece of PvE around. Especially the dungeons can keep you entertained for hours

If you're mainly a PvE player, definitely consider adding GWEN to your collection; it's very PvE focused and has a huge number of skills that are PvE-only. There are also a lot of opportunities for (totally optional) grinding, if you're into that kinda thing.

As to the monument bonuses, so far there are no immediate bonuses for filling up monuments. ANet has said that they'll give access to special stuff in GW2, but as to what that special stuff might be we have no idea at present. Personally, I'm filling my hall of monuments up and seeing what I get from it when GW2 comes along - if it's good stuff then yay, if it's stuff that I'd never make use of then it's no big loss.

If you like Guild Wars, you'll like GW:EN. It has some new things to do, and new places to go, and new people to meet. And, as has been mentioned, there are lots of interesting PvE-only skills. You'll have lots of time to finish GW:EN before GW2 comes out - lots & lots.

As far as the HoM is concerned, I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Given the normal course of things in GW, I suspect that the "special items and titles" will be on a par with the "bonus weapons & items" you got with various GW pre-orders. In other words, maybe some not-so-unique skins (can't be that unique if a million GW players have them), and titles that say you were a GW-god, but which convey no bonus in GW2, and would quickly be replaced by new GW2 titles.

Nobody (even ANet, it seems) knows exactly what will "carry over" from GW through the HoM, but it's logical to think that no actual weapons, armor, or items will be "usable" in GW2.
