Default Heros enchanting

Hi, im trying to get dunkoro to use mending on me, but he keeps taking it off.
I force him to use mending on me, and after he uses it for about .5 seconds i see the enchantment in the corner and then it disappears like hes taking it off himself. How do i keep the enchantment on me and i disable it when I want?

You have to turn the skill off in his toolbar, then manually have him cast it on you. Otherwise heroes cancel any mantained enchantments.

Heroes take off enchants if they see them not necessary at the time. What you need to do is disable the skill on the heroes skill bar. Hold shift and click on the skill. After it is disabled it should have a red circle with a slash through it. This is due to the heroes AI.

From here you have to manually cast it on you, select your char then press the skill on the heroes skill bar. Then enchantment should stay on you until you remove it manually.

Dunkoro was just smart enough to know Mending is a bad skill to use.
