Default few questions on obtaining skills

i have a few questions on skills now that i have ascended and got three heroes. i hav prof eye of north and factions

1.i have decided to switch my secondary prof but i have no skills for my new choice. should i start a new character with that job or buy skills?

2. i heard that in factions quests don't give rewards, if that is so how do ppl get the money for buy all those skills? i think after buying twenty skills it costs 1k

3. can i use hero trainers to obtain skills? i think they're exactly same as normal trainers except that when u buy skills u use hero skill points and its free.

When you buy skills you unlock them for the account, so all your heroes from any character can use those skills, and any other character you make could unlock them using a tome.

You need to have skill points to buy skills. I would just buy what you think you will actually use. As you move ahead in the game, you will get more skill points and more gold to buy them.

So just change your secondary and buy the skills you or your heroes are going to use.

Of course, you can always make a new character to try something different. Most are fun to play and offer a whole different way of playing.

Good Luck!

OP factions quests gave pretty good monetary rewards instead of skills usually a goodly amount of xp as well (the prof skills quest only gave like 500xp max while most of the kaineng ones give at least 1000xp and gold as the quest reward).

making a new character may unlock a few skills for your heroes, unfortunately if you want to use them on that first character you will either need to buy them or learn them with a tome.

hero skill trainers are good for getting skills for your heroes---when I started nf I didnt have a warrior--so I unlocked the skills for koss from the trainer so he had something semi-decent to use (until I made a warrior and got them all)
anytime you unlock a skill on any character then your heroes are free to use them (if they have the same primary/secondary proff).

make new character and have a great time playing guildwars!

I'm not positive, but I believe when you go to a hero skill trainer it might show you how many hero skills you have available.

maybe not.... don't quote me

Factions quests don't give skills as a reward, but to compensate you get way more exp and cash.

The skills you get for the new character would not be available to the old one. You'd still have to buy them for the old character anyway. There is no need to buy every skill - for now, just get the ones you need.

As you get further into the game, the money becomes easier to get. After a while you'll wonder what to do with it all.

Yes, but the Hero Skill Trainers only have a limited number of skills available. Check them first, or check wiki to see where you can get the skills you want. The Hero Skill Trainer will tell you how many hero skill points you have.
