Default Chestrunning?

Hi, I want to get my ranger R1 Treasure hunter but I never understood Chestrunning in the FoW.

Do I need some kind of build? How many keys do I need per run? How long does a run take?

Thnx

You need somekind of build of course, Skills that makes you run faster & block and keep you alive while you run there, how many keys you need depends on how long you can survive, usually 3-4keys is enough, and the time it takes depends aswell on that how good you are.

as Pleikki said your gonna need a build that allows you to block, doge, and allow you to move fast, and in general keep you alive until you get to a chest. I would suggest buying lockpicks and running in HM once your used to your build and has some money, the reason for this is lockpicks can be reused and FoW keys cost about 1k+ if i remember right, also this will help you with lucky/unlucky which in turn will help you with lockpick retain rate. Dont know about group CR because i never do in groups.

Thanks for the answer. Does anyone recommend a place to run besides FoW? Rather not waste 1k for an entry fee.

Chestrunning thread in the Farming forum here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10145278

I would make suggestions, but you don't say what games you have. The above link has suggestions for all campaigns.

Lockpick retention, as noted, are affected by your Lucky and Treasure Hunter titles. But until your rank in those titles gets to a certain point, keys are still cheaper. This is only if you are running in NM of course. See this wiki link for more details: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Lockpick

Good luck with your title.

Ice Cliff Chasms out of Boreal Station in EoTN is the fastest and easiest way to CR...do the door trick so you respawn at the door, use lockpicks, bring some heroes w other run buffs and your set. Run takes about 1min.

I ran most of my 10,000 chests in fronis irontoe's lair. I averaged about 40-45 chests an hour, which is slower than some people. After a while it starts to pay for itself, probably when you're at least r4 lucky and treasure hunter.

Hello,

If you are looking for Fast Chest Runs and NO BUILD at all, Not even needing ARMOR then look no further than BAREAL's STATION. It is the first outpost in GW:EN.

Running in NORMAL MODE will net you 1-2 chests in 3 minutes NO DEATHS ad NO Fancy pants BUILDS and even NO ARMOR,

How, Run to the chests and open them. The Snow Wurms will not attack you as they are MEELE.

If you want better drops but break more lockpicks then do it in HARD Mode. You will get 1 chest 99% of the time in the 3 minutes. I would suggest using armor as the Oaks WILL kill you fast.

Jst my 2 cents. I am currently lvl 3 treasure hunter lvl 2 unlucky and lvl 2 lucky.

If you decide to kill the snow wurms do it in hard mode. This will easily pay for the lockpicks that you break.

What I do is kill the snow wurms in hard mode (10 of them) in around 5 minutes and merchant most stuff and then buy lockpicks and then open the chests in NORMAL MODE when going to lucky title.

Hope this helps
