It's technically PVP. The race takes around a minute or two to finish anyway. Why were you resigning in the first place?

rofl, stick to pve please

/resign was introduced as a way to end a PvP match without penalty

I hope they'll fix it for next rollerbeetle event

If you didn't want to spend the 2 minutes it takes to finish a race, then why did you bother entering it?

I'm sure the devs have some very good reasons for putting in this feature. And I suspect thier reasons are connected with the reasons why you (or others) would resign during the race.

I thought they put it in rollerbeetle racing because people were using the sync enter thing to get all their friends in one race, and then resigning so that one friend won all the time.

Or they were paying people to resign so they could win.

There are lots of reasons to want to leave a RB race, one of them it being very annoying when you lag back on a corner or find yourself facing the wrong way do the a sudden ping spike.

The OP is right dishonourable was put in to stop you ruining the match for the other players.

Leaving a RB race does not hinder the other players in anyway, in fact it helps them. It should not give dishonour.

Why enter when you will resign?

Btw,
Well I might sound a little bit (NOPE MORE!) like a nubie but what does RED ENGINE GO even mean? And who came up with it?

I think when people find themselves in a bad race they would rather quit and not finish the race. So by /resign they can immediately get back and get a game to their liking.

The dishonor is to stop people from just picking games they are most likely going to do well in.

some people don't want to race if they can't go for a top 100 score

maybe it's not the way YOU want to play, but it's the way I do, at least you could respect others as long as it doesn't interfere with your own game experience

what's the problem with people resigning ?

and rofl @ syncing QQers, syncing has not prevented me from getting a mini beetle and still being in top100 atm

you're not out of top 100 because of sync joiners, it's because you're bad

btw, I received whispers from someone reporting top100 entries for offensive names... rofl

It's something completely random from a T.V. show (or was it a stand-up set?).

The Red Engine GORED is caused when someone decides to try to use censored words on the forums, the words are removed and in place goes Go Red Engine. As for the resign feature giving dishonorable, it seems a bit odd, BUT I know too often people were abusing the roller beetle races but fixing the races so it appears to be a way that ANET keeps things a bit more on the up and up

The OP is right. Resigning should not give you dishonorable, just like it doesn't in RA.

There are ways it can be abused.

There are no good reasons besides RollerBettle elitists for resign not to give dishonorable.

Last the designers put it there.

Therefore, it should stay.

Dishonorable for error out or nor loading in should be gotten rid of though.

The only person I see here QQing is you.

He wanted to know why it gives dishonorable, I gave a reason why I thought they added it.

I agree this is fking retarded. Resigning should work just like in all other types of PvP. Waste of time on a lagged/failed runs with horrible starts is so annoying I gave up the rollerbeetle racing this year entirely.

The issue is if everyone resigned as soon as they felt discouraged the top times would skyrocket with some matches being over in 10 or 20 seconds. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why resign is not a option in a speed based match.

Yay, so when we have friends teaming up against us or are a mile behind quitting shouldn't be allowed. I agree.

I mean how fair is it on ANYONE if you leave early, it could massively influence the game because might skyrocket from a mile behind to beyond first place is 20 seconds see? So don't give up keep trying ^___^
