Default How does death affect you in GW & couple other questions

Okay after reading the topic it should be clear im a noob so be gentle.

1. I want to know how does death affect you other than -60%max and survivor title and if its even posible to complete ex. Nightfall without dying.

2. Once you have completed ex. nightfall do you get to play it again with maxed character.(because i see people with cool looking armor that are or seem low lvl) Read you can play again on hardmode but is it posible to do it again on normal.

3. Once completed can one jump across campains at will or does it require certain missions done like wiki says.

4. Balthazar rewards Zhaisen things... is it posible to earn those without doing pvp or hero battles. I aint a team player so pvp side aint for me. Might do that once im done with pve/story.

Thanks in advance for reply's

Firstly, death does not affect anything other than giving you Death Penalty and the Survivor Title, other than obviusly making things more difficult with less health and energy. You can play ANY missions at ANY time as long as you have the requirements (some missions require certain heroes or quests done before them), and you can repeat as many times as desired. You can jump across to different campaigns by doing the quests required by the respective people in main cities. When you map into these cities (Kamadan, Kaineng Centre or Lion's Arch) and if you have hints on in your Options (F11), there should be a text box that comes up and says "Speak to *** to receive the quest *** to gain access to ***"), which will give you some sort of indication as to where you need to be going. Also, Zaishen Combat, Bounties and and Missions are available to anyone, although Combats are all PvP oriented. Hope this answers your questions.

Just to clarify: The mission/bounty zaishen quests cannot be taken by PvP characters only, but they can be taken by a character reguardless if that character or account has access to the campaign in question.

PvE characters can take combat missions, and are able to take them as many times as desired as long as the quest is turned in before you attempt to take another - Also, it must still be the active zaishen combat quest.

These quests don't need to be turned in during the day that they're active, they'll remain in your quest log until you do them.

Yes, you can complete any and all of the story-lines without dying. It's not easy, but it is doable. One thing about the DP - if your entire party reaches -60% DP while out and about, you will not be rezzed and you'll have to go back to town to start over.

Yes, you can do back and do Missions as often as you like - in either NM or HM (if you've completed the campaign) any quests you've completed (including primary quests) will no longer be available.

You can jump from campaign to campaign via quests that are available in the port cities of Lions Arch (Prophecies) and kaineng center (factions) once you reach those towns. For Nightfall, the quests become available once you reach a certian point in the story line. To get a quest to get to EotN, you have to get to one of the port cities and be at least level 10.

At the moment, the only way to earn Zaishen keys is through earning Balthazar faction in PvP. If/When A-Net gets the Xunlai Tournament House back up and running, you can get Z-keys through there.

The 60% DP thing is only in Hard Mode.

Z-keys can be bought with Z-coins I believe, but it isn't the best deal.

So there is no replay value to the game once it has been completed thats it(or delete and make new char). Must say its a little disapointing they could have given a bonus/reward for each time you completed a campaign/chapter and added more than 2 difficulties. This would give you a reason to keep a certain char for mini pets and farming for funds and so on. It is a great game just that it could have been a lot more at least that my 2c.

Yes, it is possible. On my survivor char, I completed Factions and Nightfall before getting legendary survivor.

As for the replay value, no it's not the best. However, most people have one main character they play most of the time. Reason? Titles. Title hunting can be great fun or a grind, depending on what you like. At least it gives a replay incentive and an incentive to do other things like vanquish all areas. It gives a goal and something to do for a looong time (vanquishing all areas in all campaigns takes a while for casual players).

-60 and booted back too outpost is only for Hard Mode you can run around NM with -60 but it's harder until you work it off or use consumabales. lol
You do get bonus stuffs at the end of all the completed campaigns and if you
also have Eye of the North the Hall of Monuments holds all the achievements done on that
charr
which will give us certain things in Guild Wars 2.

You can replay the game with another character, but not with the same one. If the quests were replayable, they would be farmed for points and other rewards.

Edit: All your character information is kept on ArenaNet's servers. Therefore, there is no reset possible.

Of course there is replayable value. You can't get a reward each time you complete a campaign but the Elite Areas (DoA,FoW,UW,Dungeons) are all repeatable and give you a reward every time, so for these it is an advantage for keeping your characters.
People also keep their characters for the reasons you mention, they have invested their time into them to complete their campaigns so don't want to delete them.
It is fun to repeat campaigns with different professions as you have to approach things in a different way and making friends and playing with them just adds to the enjoyment.

Hey Voodoo: There are sooooo many things to do in the game. I have every campaign, and 10 characters, and have only scratched the surface. I have completed all campaigns, but there are rewards for HM, Drops are better. Going for Vanquish title, farming, Chect running, drop runs, green runs, dungeon runs, FOW UW.... Elite armor, crafting..... I have been playing from the start, and though I like to farm most of all there is still so much to do in game. I hope you enjoy playing the game...

Other than then the Survivor title, and the dp you get during a quest or mission, death has no lasting effect.

Yes, you can do Nightfall again.

The missions to get to the other campaigns only need to be done once. After that, you can access them directly by using the boat seen on the map.

The Zaishen missions and bounties are open to anyone.

Death isn't really too big a deal in PvE. Someone in your party dies, you just res 'em, kill a few things, and they're back to normal.

Aah deaths, I hate dying, even if my char is a Legendary Survivor already (no title loss, but still...).

It increases your /deaths counter. Having a negative stat like this one is enough to make a perfectionist like me want to CRY every time I die. I don't PvP with my PvE chars because of this.
