Exclamation Just no Drake Flesh

I've been running around in the triangle Champion's Dawn - The Astralarium - Jokanur Diggings for the past 48 hours killing every single drake I see. So far tallied up to roughly 150 killed drakes. So far I haven't had a single flesh drop. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm in a group, with heroes, henchies or alone. Nothing, Nada, Zero, Zip, Zilch.

Can anybody enlighten me as what the frack I'm doing wrong? Or maybe give a few tips. Cause this is starting to get slightly annoying.

Ta for any input.

You're not doing anything wrong, but Drake Flesh has an extremely low drop rate. The very best way of completing that quest is to take the "Drakes on the Plain" quest in Rihlon Refuge and kill yourself a hoard of those stubborn suckers

Good luck, don't give up!

If you don't have access to the quest mentioned in the above post because you're still on Istan, you should find you get a better drop rate (lol @ getting a worse drop rate) from the drakes in Issnur Isles a couple of quests further along in the storyline from where you probably are now. The drop rate in Zehlon Reach is pretty awful so it's not really worth trying to finish the chef's quest til you're almost ready for the Blacktide Den mission.

Strangely Drake Flesh was always a VERY COMMON drop for me, like 15-20% chance. The key to getting one is going ALONE - no other party members/heroes/henchies. That's how I always play through the first ~8 levels in Nightfall, for fast exp. It's easy with any class and most fun without extra twinking (elite skills, max armor and good weapons)

I had my level 20 characters get it for my lower levels.....they ALWAYS got it....it seems lower level characters had a rougher time with it. (same goes for the juvie legs).

All the above, and to confirm, going at it alone outside champs is the best way (go on a lvl 20 and kill the two outside).

I never really do that quest though...

I never had problems finding drake flesh too. I usually killed the dragons in the western part of the Plains of Jarin (exit from the Sunspear Great Hall), and after a few trials i got the flesh. It seems a bit strange to me that it's so hard for you to find them. Maybe the dragons in the Plains of Jarin have a better drop rate? I don't know.

Im guessing that your getting them for halloween , if this is the case then to be honest you are better off going after decayed Orr emblems and feathered Caromi scalps, however if it is specifically the drake flesh you want in order to get the transmognifier tonics then i would go after sentient roots instead , they drop right outside Kamadan and drop alot more often than drake flesh.

I hear you there.
Just began a new Paragon. While runnig around and killing any Iron Drake on the board.
I must have killed over 20 Iron Drakes before the Drake flesh dropped. Luckily it was after I finished the last quest in that area.

I did not have any probs either. think there are 3 locations in the plains near kamadan were they are(all near the river top, bottom, and middle). You dont always get it the 1st time round but pop into town champ damn then go back at it and you should get it the 2nd time round.
