Wink Factions and Pet Addon

Just starting to play factions and was wondering how long does it take to complete end to end?

Oh and also I purchased the pets addon pack does this get sent in the post or is it immediately available and if so how do I access it?

Factions is the shortest of the three campaigns (Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall.), so it won't take you very long to get through it. It does have a very steep learning curve, so once you get to the mainland you'll see level 20's everywhere.

The Pet Addon Pack is already on your account. You can go to the menagerie and charm the pet of your choice. Anything you buy from the in-game store does not get shipped to you: It's simply added to your account.

If I charm a pet again do I lose my exisiting one?

You cant charm a pet if you already have one, you first have to talk to someone to give it away, (so yes you can only have one at a time). Since when you give it away you can do so in the menagerie to the person I think you can recap it later but not certain

The mangerie is located in the battle islands - travel to great temple of balthazaar and map travel from there. If you purhcased the unlock pet pack you should have all the animals cept the prestige ones in the menagerie and all of the possible evolutions unlocked. You can't exactly recharm the same pet again - once is gone, it's gone, but you can ask a trainer in the menagerie to spawn a certain pet at lvl 20 with the desired evolution for you.

Your pet's name will be transferred to your new pet

Also, if your pet is not a prestige pet, and below level 20, it might be better to swap it for a level 20 pet from the Zaishen Menagerie.

Nah my pets level 20 anyways so i presume it doesn't really make any difference choosing other pets? Seems they missed a score with the pets because if you could train new ones but only add 1 at a time during battles it would have added some twist to the missions :-)

Had you not bought the Pet Pack, then the menagerie would be empty until you bring a pet to it.
What that means is if you charm a pet out in the main game, level it up to level 20, then take it to the menagerie, you can show it there, and that particular animal will be available to be charmed. that way you can train up lots of pets, but only have one in battle

Some pets do slightly different damage, either slashing or piercing, depending on their evolution and species.
Details are on the Wiki: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Pets

Other than that, the choice of pet is asthetic. What animal companion would you like to see with you?

Erm don't mind really I got a Melandru's Stalker, basically a common run of the mill moggy cat with fleas :-) The fleas do more damage than the actually cat if you ask me.

I'd love to see a reindeer that'd be nice or a vicious bunny that'd be nice.

Oh btw I've started playing the Factions going ok, it explains why when playing the eye of the north I kept struggling to get anywhere on the big fights, basically I was playing it in the wrong order :-/

What game do you play Hollygen?
