Default Some Weapon Clarification Questions

I'm looking to try out the pvx 600 rit/smite duo build, and need some clarifying what weapons that would be suitable. The build states i need the following:

600hp Rit
+20% enchantment duration weapon with 20% HCT/HSR Protection Prayers focus.
40% HCT/HSR Restoration set for casting VwK.

Smite Bonder
+20% enchantment duration weapon.

Now, I've been out of the game for a period of time, but if i understand correctly, i'll need 4 items, correct? 2 sets for the Rit, and just one for the Smite/bonder?

What do I need exactly for the 40% HCT/HSR set?

And would any +20% enchantment duration weapon work for the smiter/bonder?

Thank you in advance!

Those weapons suggestions are just that, suggestions. You can easily get by with a different selection if you don't want to go to the trouble of acquiring those particular weapons. Basically, you should make sure both the rit and the smiter are using 20% enchantment lengthening weapons. The smiter needs it to extend Spellbreaker as long as possible, the rit can use it to extend the various prots (though on the rit you can get by without it really... you'll just have to cast slightly more often). Good hunting.

40% HCT/HSR set means a 40/40 set. This means a wand with 20% half casting time and 20% half skill recharge, and a focus with 20% half casting time and 20% half skill recharge.

Well I'd go with you on everything except the smiter doesnt carry spellbreaker otherwise he would only see use of it once unless you wanna wait 30 seconds for every encounter while he spams Blessed Signet for his energy back, and I think if he was to be 16/16 there'd be nothing left for the attribute of divine favour.

Notably this would be played by a comlpetely seperate role like the SB [spellbreaker] in MQSC.

Please read OPs post before replying. He is asking about 600 Rit/smite not monk so, yes infact, the smite DOES carry Spell Breaker.

Captain Bulldozer is absolutely right, as long as you both have a weapon with a 20% enchant mod then you'll be fine. If you find the recharge/cast time of VwK isn't quick enough then invest in a 40/40 set but not having one isn't going to mean you can't do the run.

Good luck

Thanks for all of the useful help everyone who posted. Just wanted to update my post on what I have been able to aquire. Let me know if these will work:

Totem Axe:
Slashing damage: 6-28 (Requires 9 Axe Mastery)
Armor penetration +20% (Chance: 20%)
Enchantments last 20% longer
Energy +5

and...

Protective Icon
Energy +12 (Req 9)
HCT/HSR

Then for the 40/40 set:

Restpration Focus:
HSR/HCT Restoration Magic

Then for my Smiter:

Kepkhet's Refuge:
Energy +15
Fire damage: 11-22 (Requires 9 Divine Favor)
Halves skill recharge of spells (Chance: 20%)
Halves casting time of Protection Prayers spells (Chance: 20%)
Enchantments last 20% longer

So, will those work for this set up? Still need to find a 20/20 weapon for restoration magic if i'm going all out on what they are asking. Just hope I'm on the right track.

Yeah those weapons you have atm are just fine.

If you need a 20/20 resto wand then theres a green one you can get.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Droknar%27s_Scepter

Its the only one I know of and theres no crafter version available like there is for the offhand.

Hope that helps, good luck

I had the same problem getting a 40/40 restoration set.

You can get both a 20/20 wand and a 20/20 focus as a green endgame item from eotn.

You can also get a 20/20 focus as a collector weapon in exchange for 5 truffles.

What I did in the end was get (buy from players) an inscribable wand and focus and mod them myself to make them 20/20. Costs more, but you can choose a skin that you like that way. I got a Frog Scepter and a Celestial Compass, and my ritualist is very happy with them .

What items, from the wand, rod, scepter, etc... to the inscriptions or wrappings, would I need to make it 20/20 restoration?

Wiki is always a great source of information:

Upgrade components: wand wrappings and focus cores.

Inscriptions

These links are readily available from the main page of the wiki. As you can see, you will need the following mods and inscriptions:
wand: "Aptitude not Attitude" inscription and a Wand Wrapping of Memory.
focus: "Forget Me Not" inscription and a Focus Core of Aptitude.

Be aware of the prices of these mods and inscriptions though. For example, as you can see in the Components Price Guide, an "Aptitude not Attitude" can run upwards of 5k and a "Forget Me Not" upwards of 20k.

Thanks Dzjudz. I do know about the upgrades and such, just was wondering specific details about the whole thing.
