Default Swapping Weapon Sets

Is there some sort of trick that when you swap a weapon set, the old weapon set gets put in your equipment pack. I am using several nice "collector" light blue weapon sets. I have already accidently sold an off-hand. At least when weapons are green or gold, I take a second look before I merch them.

Now I am going nuts checking for all my weapon sets before I sell anything.

Help.

Thanks.

If you make sure they start off in the equipment pack, and there is room when you swap, they should swap spots with the weapon set you pull up.

You could customize your weapons, if you don't plan on selling them.

and possibly sell only from a couple of indicated bags. at any seller, you can select which bags the merchant npc can look in and thus you just have to move the stuff you want to keep out of those bags

I have always found that it takes some fiddling to get it to work properly. Start with an empty pack and all your weapon sets in the desired slots. Activate set one. Drag any weapons that show up in your pack to your equipment bag. Switch to set two. Again move any weapons that show up in your pack. Continue the process of switching sets and moving stray weapons, and after a cycle or two they will stay in your equipment bag.

At least until the next time you make changes in your setup, like adding a shield in place of a focus or something. At which time you may have to go through the cycle again until it stabilizes. If you do want to change a weapon set, I've found that it usually works if you equip the set you want to change, make sure the replacement weapon/offhand is already in your equipment bag, and double-click on the weapon/offhand to make the exchange.

The other advice given above, while not answering your question, is still helpful in preventing merchant accidents. Though I suspect you probably already knew those things. It is a shame you can't customize offhands to protect them. (Though that is a little strange, since offhands dedicated in HoM and offhands from the BMP certainly behave as if they are customized. The weaponsmith should therefor be able to offer the same service for offhands, even if he can't add any bonus stats for customization.)

If you wield 2 weapons and you swap to one. You swap 1 weapon for the one in the EQ pack. The other one will be in your inventory. This is very anoying indeed. But with defensive sets and 40/40 sets it should always work properly.

defensive sets + hammer, bows, daggers, staves don't work.

But maybe that customizing works.. Don't know

Just also equip an offhand when you are wielding a 2-handed weapon. It won't function, but it will affect the weapon swap.

I never had a problem with weapon sets when they were only bows. My problems began when I started playing a Spirit Farmer, but would on occaision switch to a bow for pulling.

I added an shield to go with my bow and now things seem to be much better.

Thanks
