If you think about it, GW is using more than one server....

There is no "server wide" chat feature - and a good thing too, imagine having people spam all the game at one time.

All chat is limited in whom it affects.

General local chat is limited to the district of the town you're in.
Trade chat is limited the same, but is also added to the party search system, which covers all the district of the town.
Guild chat reaches all members of the guild.
Alliance chat reaches all members of the alliance, IE, your guild plus all guilds in your alliance.

Note that you can always mute a whole chat channel, so it's possible noone will hear something said in local chat if they have turned the local chat off.

More often i have noticed Europe - German district is more populated then Europe - English

If u r from Europe play in Euro servers for possible better connection.
I only go to the American districts when i wanna Trade.
