But dont worry, Anet have said that they will also be bringing a similar event to Factions. And I wouldnt take bets against Nightfall having its own event further allong down the road.

Prophecies (original Guild Wars) is cheap. $10 or less on Amazon. Be sure to buy new, never used.

And if you are completely new to the style of GW (its very different from other MMOs) Prophecies seems to be the best way to learn. At least for me thus far!

Also: I have been Seared! :O

Now the funny thing is that, when I first started I played an assassin whish means I started in Factions. I didn't know that it was not recommended to start as an assassin or even in Factions your first time. I did fine and my assassin is my favorite toon.

Quick question:

I used the /bonus thing and got all my free stuff. I am using the Sundering Rhino Hammer right now, and it has in the following written on the tooltip:

Blunt DMG 19-35 (Requires 9 Hammer Mastery)

What does the requires mean exactly? Does the damage not reach that point until I have 9 Hammer Mastery? What kind of damage does it do if I do not have the 9?

I have a shield as well that has this and I am trying to figure out what it means.

Bonus weapons are reduced to half of the stated damage if the requirement is not met. Shields are reduced to eight armor.http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Requirement

Any other modifications are received in full.

Your hammer for example:

Blunt damage: 19-35 (Req. 9 Hammer Mastery) reduced to 9-17
Damage +15% (while Health is above 50%) full
Armor penetration +20% (Chance: 20%) full
Damage +20% (customized) full

Thanks Darcy! That makes sense. 2 more points of Hammer Master then to unlock its full potential!

Technically still not true. You won't deal the listed damage unless you meet the requirement and have 12 in Hammer Mastery. With only 9 points and meeting the requirement, you'll only be dealing 77.1% of the listed damage.

If that's a bit complex for you now just keep in mind more Hammer Mastery = more damage, even after you meet the weapon requirement.
