Default CoF Nerf? DwG?

Hi all, I've been away from Guild Wars, pratically all year, and recently came back because of the HoM calculator .

Anyway, my question is that.. What happened to 600/Smite in CoF? The last time I farmed, I farmed CoF and it worked, so they must have nerfed it recently. What happened, how did it get nerfed (What skill, etc), and does it still work? I've been hearing that its been nerfed, and I'm a bit sad as that was the only place I farmed.

Also, whats DwG? Its apparently for DoA but I haven't found anything on it.

Thanks.

600/Smite may be considered nerfed because Holy Wrath works a bit differently now. I think it's still usable, just less so. http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Holy_Wrath

DwG = Destructive was Glaive.

The smite build was nerfed in February. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Game_...:February_2010
As Holy Wrath is no longer a maintained enchantment, the smiter has to keep reapplying it which brings him into aggro range. Farming is still done with a variety of builds.

DWG is Destructive Was Glaive, a ritualist skill. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Dwg

So, is dwg good for DoA then? If so, how?

I suppose the smiter would have to be human now, I don't think heroes are smart enough to cast and run.

DwG is part of several team builds. I don't think I have saved any templates as I don't farm DoA and the normal referrals to PvXwiki are useless until Curse gets the new hosting site up and running. If you want specific builds then try the Campfire section Farming sub forum.

NOTE: the old PvXwiki site has been vandalized and the builds are useless.

DwG is the main component of what is known as Glaiveway, which is a DoA speedclear team build.

It's basically a team composed of characters of any class with that skill (plus an assortment of Spirit Rift, Ancestor's Rage, BUH!, Lightbringer's Signet and class-dependant options), running into mobs and spamming the heck out of Glaive.

Bung in an Imbagon and a monk and off you go.

...I speak like an expert, but I'm not - I did this run for the first with a group formed on Mumble a week ago. It's as easy as shelling peas, as long as the group leader knows their stuff
