I plan to start a LDoA character and am thinking of Warrior. I like there armor and play the game for me to enjoy so I don't care about farming, gimmicks, etc. I'll probably run Earth Shaker for most of PvE.

Questions:
What is your favorite Warrior boss name?

Is Earth Shaker a viable option or there a better build to be ran on Warriors?

With 7 heroes would an imba paragon have the biggest advantage over any class?

NOTE: The Warrior boss name is because I can't think of what to name this character, and am looking for inspiration.

I'm too bored with caster professions. And since you can't pick any other melee in Prophecies, it will have to be Warrior. I'm just worried if there still fun to play in PvE. I think Dwarven Stability+Dwarven Battle Stance sounds entertaining. Warrior's Endurance is great for pew pew it seems like.

Umm, are you planning to get a run? If you do, I don't see how that jives with "enjoy the game" (but it's your choice). If you don't, it's a bit early to be talking about Earth Shaker, Warrior's Endurance and Dwarven skills.

At the very least you'll have to make it to LA. You'll be level 20... but that won't change the low skills, low armor, low weapons and low henchies.

Only after jumping over to Boreal Station and Elona you'll get a decent hero team, which will in turn allow you to go into EotN and grab some of the skills you mentioned. If you plan to do it with henchies, more power to you. If you're doing it with guildies, even better.

Earth Shaker is only one possible build. If you really mean it about playing a warrior to the fullest, head on over to the Warrior forum section and read a few of the top threads there, they're not long. IMO it's more important to understand the basics of W builds than to hope to successfully run a generic cookie-cutter build for all PvE.

It bears stressing the fact that many of the builds on PvXwiki are extremely generalistic and only really fit for farming, at best. I mean, take Earth Shaker since you mentioned it. It's a confusing mix of KD, adrenaline, energy, single-target and PbAoE attacks. Jack of all trades, master of none indeed.

Here's a simple test for when you think you've got a cool W build. Grab miss Alesia Baptiste (or a Monk hero of your choice) and head on out just the two of you. If you can survive like this, it's possibly a decent build.

Yeah, don't get your heart set on a specific build/playstyle, especially if you have yet to actually play it. The game is diverse, and though you're all jazzed for Earthshaker now, it shouldn't be the only build you run. Versatility isn't just for farms or gimmicks. I've seen so many elementalists who base their entire look/name/identity around a fire build, and imagine how silly "Blazing Fire Babe" feels running water.

As for names, what we find cool, you may not. So take a gander at the list of Warrior Bosses and pick what strikes your fancy. But bear in mind you're likely not the first player to seek name inspiration from in-game bosses. For example, the name of the Prophecies boss with Earthshaker -- Kor Stonewrath -- appears to already be taken.

But then again Rok Wrathstone may not be taken. Taking established names and tweeking them is all about the creative process that can make your character unique.

I am rather confused on some of your post.

You want to make a LDoA, but you're saying you'll run Earth Shaker, talking about Dwarven Stability/Battle Stance, heroes, and Paragons?

You do know that you don't get Elites in Pre or heroes or any of that right? LDoA is a Pre-exclusive title only.

If it is just a name you are looking for, then okay. Might of misunderstood the rest of the post.

I think he means after capturing the pre-searing title he'll go post and work towards the builds he describes. he wants to know right now how to get help naming the character.
