Default What happened with Hidden Treasure chests in dungeons ?

After few months of break i recently did few dungeons. I noticed dramatically increase availability of hidden trasures.
On the last level of Bloodstone Caves ive got 13 (yes - thirteen) chests.
The same in whole Boogroot.
Was there some update that increase amount of treasures in dungeons ?

Update - Thursday, November 3, 2011

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Game_updates

Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented Hidden Treasures from being revealed by the Light of Deldrimor.

I've heard (I may be wrong, don't hold me to it, it's just what I've heard) that the amount of hidden treasures is the same, but there was a bug refraining some hidden treasures to be shown.

Wiki says:
The November 3, 2011 game update fixed a bug that prevented hidden treasures from appearing under various circumstances, including failing to spawn if discovered shortly after entering a level or not discovered on first use of the skill. Some treasures never spawned. Since the fix, all possible treasures now spawn; for example, now you can find around 10 treasures on the third level of Oola's Lab compared to typically finding only five or six in the past.

But I have no idea if that changed the mechanics to what you are experiencing. 13 seems an awful lot.

Edit: oops, ninja'd, and apparently that many is normal now?

I can now visualise a whole hoarde of farmers rushing to dungeons to get the chests - i usually check updates but i think i missed that one , i think i`ll have to run a few dungeons to see what ive missed out on.

I don't think that the items from those chests would be worth actually 'farming'.

UW is farmed for ecto... hidden chests drop rubies and saphires aswell as diamonds and various other rare crafting materials... if there are 13 in an area an assassin can solo (or run through quite easily without dieing) how would that not be a farmable thing? i get rubbies quite often from these chests, and ecto is the same price as rubbies and saphs.... this seems like an easier way of farming! you dont have to kill anything!

Just my view on the subject.

Yes - i agree. I got 2 rubies from my last dungeon.
But maybe it is a way to wake up dungeon runners ?

dungeon runners? Nobody's running dungeons nowadays because there's simply NO request, back when I was running dungeons I'd use to stay for countless minutes in doomlore trying to find people that need dungeons ran.

Ive heard of players farming those chests in the past for specific items - usually rare mats that can be got from them.
But if the amount of chests is increased im sure more players would do the dungeons - 13 chests the op mentioned on that level would interest a lot of players
