Just curious if there is going to be a Birthday celebration this upcoming weekend.

Didn't someone post a quote by Stumme about there being a "special surprise" this birthday? My guess is it's either gw2 beta keys for 7 bday accounts or some amazing skill update/powerleap for paragons... Or second part of ele update.

There was a dev (dunno who) that visited Embark Beach while the aprils fool quest was up and he/she mentioned that there would be something interesting there, and then I believe there was that quote from Stumme on a blog post somewhere too...
Do not think it is any of the things HigherMinion thinks it could be... if it is I would be rather disappointed and it is a bad surprise because it only gives something to a smaller portion of the playerbase leaving the rest with nothing.

I wasn't really being serious. It was more of a snipe at how strongly Anet are selling GW2 before release. If you re-read it, you'll see the genius!

Honestly, I can't imagine them doing anything that's limited to this weekend (like a quest or special event). If they did, it'd be pretty silly; most of their die-hard customers are going to be playing GW2 this weekend.

as per the game updates from today...there WILL be a birthday celebration complete with a new pet!
as to exactly WHEN its going to start......(roll a 7 sided die and see what day it picks)
