HELP; with HoM - Guild Wars Forums

Alright, I haven't played in a while and I'm looking to get some more HoM points (currently at 30). Here is my HoM rewards and I have 240 platinum, so what do I do?

Here we go again - I'm beginning to suspect this board needs a dedicated HoM forum...

Right, to start with get yourself a Black Widow and kit out your remaining 8 heroes.

Buy the cheapest 32 common minis you can find.

The expensive bit is those two armor sets you're missing, Vabbian and Obsidian - you're looking at a mil for those two, but 3 points if you do.

One Oppressor weapon - then fill the rest with 8 Destroyers. Your EotN needs a lot of work anyway, so you'll be picking up plenty of gems from the end chests.

On which note, get your ass into hard mode. Finishing Elona Prot, then doing the same in HM will give you 4 more points. Do it - I did years ago and I'm crap

OK, for points at your budget. I think only buy 12 minis, that gets you 3 more points. Finish out your devotion title track, easy enough because you can farm the stuff yourself or buy them for about 8k each.

You do definitely need to get finishing your hard mode stuff. Finish out guardian and protector for elona, cantha and tyria. That should get you close enough for it to be easy to finish off sunspear and light bringer titles. Another easy title is the luxon faction one. You only need to get it to r4 so it isnt too much of a grind. Playing Jade Quarry will also get you zkeys you can sell for more cash. And don't forget about those elite areas, deep, urgoz and uw can be done for mroe points.

Armor, you should just suck it up and pay for vabbian. On a player that the crest doesn't matter to donate your armor (ele, para, most every caster profession) you only need 14 rubies and 14 sapphires. That's 28e which corresponds to just about 240 plat when all is said and done in all materials. However, if you do this after you finish your protector, guardian, sunspear, lightbringer, and luxon titles you will have more money.

You definitely need to get an oppressor weapon. Other than that, after paying for the minis, some hero armor, and vabbi, you probably wont have enough money for more weps, but if you do, get one for another point.

Following these steps you will have 39 points, one short of a new title. Then ti comes back to farming farming farming.
