Default How is Guild Wars? (Original)

So I've come back after a LONG LONG LONG break. I only have Guild Wars and no expansions. My computer can't run GW2 either so I'm coming back. Is it playable: enjoyable? will I run into any obstacles with no expansions? how will I fare?

I'm not too keen on buying the expansions since there so old as well and might consider buying a new PC sooner or later.

What's the verdict? Thanks

Yes, it's a good game. You can still get enjoyment from a slightly dated game (not that there are any games to compare it to to call it dated).

Frankly, getting sick of these questions.

yes, still very enjoyable game, amazing story!

Only obstacles is because you have no expansions, skills will be very limited, and no heroes, and don't expect teaming up with people, cause vast majority of people are gone.

Come on in and start a new character and have at it. By the time you reach The Wilds, you will know how good it is/isn't.

I think you'll enjoy the game. All the markings of a regular MMORPG minus to endless grind for rewards.

Let me say that if you have just the original game but you didn't specify if you had Prophecies, Nightfall or Factions its still going very strong and it don't look like its going away for a very long time yet. I been seeing many new players coming in after they completed missions and advanced into Post Searing where it really begins, (I'm in Prophecies btw). Enjoy your experiences and have fun!!
